Growing up in Ghana, my upbringing was a rich blend of culture, tradition, and the pursuit of knowledge. Studying in England added new perspectives that continue to shape me today.
For the past 14 years, I’ve called Copenhagen home, where Danish culture has deeply influenced me, especially the concept of “hygge.” The Danish way of balancing work and life, prioritizing family time, and embracing outdoor activities has seamlessly integrated into our family traditions, enriching our lives and instilling in our daughters a love for both their Ghanaian heritage and Danish values.

My philosophy in life is to be the best version of myself each day, striving to be a better husband and father. Married to Michelle for 15 years (together for 18), I am dedicated to being a loving and supportive partner. Our daughters are a constant source of joy and inspiration, and I aim to give them an even better childhood than I had—which was fantastic, so the bar is high!

CrossFit provides me with the overall fitness needed to excel in running, while salsa and bachata keep my social life vibrant. My love for salsa began over 20 years ago in London, but it truly blossomed when I moved to Copenhagen. Salsa has been a fantastic way to make new friends, socialize, and stay active. And let’s not forget bachata—I took it up to avoid sitting out during those dance parties!
One memorable moment was finishing the Copenhagen Half Marathon in 2:00:01, just one second shy of my goal. Frustrating then, humorous now, it’s a testament to persistence. Since then, I’ve run several sub-2-hour races, with my best time achieved at the HC Andersen Half Marathon in 2023. On the dance floor, I won the best “street” outfit at a salsa festival in Athens 2024, an experience that was both terrifying and exhilarating when we had to do solo dances on
